All of our staff at Ecumen Detroit Lakes, especially Transitional (TCU) & Rehab Care Staff, would like to wish Gene Hill & his wife Sharon, the best of luck as Gene returns home from his short stay here at Ecumen Detroit Lakes TCU. Gene & Sharon have both asked me to thank everyone and to say, that they have been very pleased with…, the FOOD, which is the first thing Gene received when he arrived and at the top of his list of what makes a place good. A delicious hot meal. We always say that meals are the centerpiece of our day here at Ecumen Detroit Lakes. Both Gene & Sharon also commented on the wonderful care and great therapy Gene received from our staff. “It’s a beautiful place, kept so clean and so nice, and really good care, and friendly, fun, well trained, empathetic and compassionate staff. We’ve enjoyed the staff and appreciated them for all that they have done.” Staff have joked with Gene about his “orange” mustang, and laughed about the stories Gene & Sharon told about Sharon’s driving. Many commented on the sweet nice and upbeat guy Gene is. And how kind and sweet Sharon is. Sharon jokes and says, “There’s another side to Gene.” And they all break out in laughter. Gene & Sharon are such a great couple and have a very loving supportive kids who have visited daily. Gene will return home stronger and healthier, thanks to our wonderful staff and our top notch therapy department. It is a win win for everyone. We hope we made life better for both Gene & Sharon, and there is no doubt, they made life better for us at Ecumen Detroit Lakes.
